Yes. Grand Sapphire is fully licensed for civil ceremonies through Croydon Council—so you can host both your ceremony and reception under one roof. You’ll need to arrange a registrar via Croydon Council.

We are approximately:

25 mins from Gatwick Airport and 15 mins from East Croydon Station.

That depends on which suite you have booked at Grand Sapphire London. With Grand Ballroom, you get two bridal suits; Sapphire & Emirate suits offers one each. However, with Rhubarb suite, you do not get a bridal suite.

Alternative, subject to availability, we can provide a separate room at our hotel where the bride/groom can get ready, on a charge, or the bride/groom can get ready with family members or friends.

Yes, we have an on-site parking facility, which is complimentary for guests attending the event.

Yes, we have a disabled parking facility on site.

For all videographers, Entertainment companies (DJ’s, Bands), decorators, lighting companies and all 3rd party suppliers:

Need to provide the following where applicable, one month before the date of the event.

The client is responsible for obtaining these documents and forwarding them to our team:

Failure to do so, the suppliers may not be allowed on-site on the day.

  • A copy of their Public and Employers Valid Insurance Certificate – minimum £5mil – £10mil cover on each (dependent on venue)
  • PAT (Portable Appliance Test) Certificates with labels on all electrical equipment brought on site
  • Risk Assessment & Method Statement – This must be venue/site/event specific

Strictly no fireworks are allowed.

Yes, if you have booked the venue for your event, feel free to take photos at the venue.

Yes you can bring decorators and external caterers.

Yes, if you have a bar license, you can set up your bar. No corkage charge applies. If you have any questions on this at all, please speak to an Events Coordinator.

Yes, you can have access to the Banqueting Suite for decorating before your event. We will advise you of your set-up time. Unfortunately, you will not be able to decorate the halls the night before.

We advise you to book your meeting as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. The deadline is 30 days before the event date.

Yes, you will be allocated an events manager who will assist you from the start of your event to the end, ensuring your day runs smoothly.

Yes, we have an easel available to hire.

We have high chairs and a baby changing table with a nappy bin.

The Emirates Suite, Sapphire Suite and Grand Ballroom all come with a separate foyer. The Rhubarb suite does not come with a foyer; however, the Rhubarb Suite comes with a red-carpet entrance, giving you and your guests grand access.

BOOKING

We work on a first-come, first-served basis; we conduct only one wedding a day and accept deposits as security against bookings. Therefore, it is advisable to book your reception on your chosen wedding day as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

Yes, we will require a deposit invoice of 25% of the estimated quote, including VAT. This will be calculated based on the number of guests provided by the client at the time of booking and any other information provided.

CATERING

Yes, we have in-house catering.

We do cater for celiacs, and please inform us at the time of booking.

They’ll be given kitchen space in our fully equipped kitchen to work independently.
